01 / COMPANY
Kaliningrad Potash Company LLC has been developing the Poddubnoye potassium-magnesium salt deposit project in Russia’s Kaliningrad Region since 2016. The company is developing an integrated mining and processing complex, from extraction to advanced processing of natural salts.
The project envisages Russia’s first production of sulfate of potash (SOP) from natural raw materials. Potassium magnesium sulfate and magnesium sulfate are also planned. The complex will combine the region’s mineral resources with Kaliningrad’s year-round maritime logistics.
02 / PODDUBNOYE DEPOSIT
Located south of Kaliningrad, the deposit is the foundation of the future industrial complex.
Project at the pre-construction stageThe State Commission on Mineral Reserves (GKZ) has recorded 3.1 billion tonnes of crude salt reserves in categories C₁ + C₂ on the Russian State Balance of Mineral Reserves.
Potential to expand the base design capacity of 1.03 million tonnes per year.
Proximity to port, rail and power infrastructure in the Kaliningrad Region.
MINERAL EXPLORATION AND EXTRACTION RIGHTS
Kaliningrad Potash Company LLC holds a mineral exploration and extraction licence: КЛГ 021057 ТЭ, dated 17 January 2024.
STATE BALANCE OF MINERAL RESERVES
The inclusion of 3.1 billion tonnes of crude salt reserves in categories C₁ + C₂ on the State Balance is documented in GKZ Protocol No. Э003-00174-77/05141107, dated 26 May 2026.
The exploration and extraction licence was obtained in 2024. In 2026, the feasibility study of exploration cut-off parameters was approved and the reserves were entered on the State Balance.

Potassium sulfate
03 / PRODUCT
Sulfate of potash is a chloride-free potassium fertilizer for effective plant nutrition.
Suitable for fruit, vegetables, berries and other crops sensitive to chloride.
The project targets water-soluble SOP, including for fertigation — the application of fertilizer through irrigation water.
Planned output is primarily intended for export and long-term customer partnerships.
PLANNED PRODUCT PORTFOLIO
Planned total capacity of the complex. Sulfate of potash is the main product, complemented by potassium magnesium sulfate and magnesium sulfate.
Approximately 1.03 million tonnes per year in the base design, with potential to expand SOP production to 1.5 million tonnes per year.
Planned saleable products from the advanced processing of potassium-magnesium raw materials.
PROJECT SIGNIFICANCE
Developing domestic processing of natural salts and import substitution in chloride-free potassium fertilizers.
Producing value-added products for international markets, supported by Baltic maritime logistics.
Creating jobs, developing industrial and transport infrastructure, and increasing tax revenues.
